3 Day Seminar / Workshop DCC 101

With 3 trainers present work-groups will have 4 attendees max! per group. This is DCC 101.
Each attendee will operate his "personal" Navigator.

You are attending a 3-day seminar/workshop. Three trainer specialists will be present throughout the event:
Klaus - the Massoth and LGB® Specialist,
Al - the general G-Scale specialist and top repair and installation craftsman, and
James - the eBay specialist for LGB® and G-Scale layout professional.
Bring your own loco and learn professional maintenance, installation and trouble shooting. Enjoy steep discounts for all (Massoth) products purchased throughout the 3-day seminar.

Objective:

  • Safe handling of DCC equipment and DCC operations
  • Operate the DiMAX system smoothly and with confidence
  • From LGB® MTS to DiMAX
  • LGB® trains now and then, determining basic collector's value of an LGB® loco, car or set
  • Exercise troubleshooting safely
  • Install decoders in your own loco professionally
  • Exercise basic PC controlled layout operation

Massoth decoders compared to other G-Scale decoders, compatibility to other DCC systems, compatibility with G-Scale locos, installation recommendations and tips.

Decoder programming with PC module and Navigator, hands-on operation

MTS decoders, LGB® decoders and their future

Other manufacturer's decoders and compatibility to the DiMAX system

Value of your LGB® collection - determine what LGB® train/loco you actually have. How to improve the value of your collection.
 
3:00 - 5:00 PM Massoth XLS sound decoders, introduction, compare to other G-Scale sound decoders (Phoenix, QSI, Zimo, et.al.)
